I'm lucky to have the friends that I have, including back home. People I love and who love me, without asking anything in return.
I believe that helps with the anger and the sadness, even when I'm reminded of it.

... it's coming up to one year of my father's passing. Neil-kun is gone and now Maruki-san is gone.
I'm sorry, it just feels like a lot has happened in such little time.

It's hard when it stacks up. Long ago, someone I was close to left this place. He was one of my first friends. Someone who promised to protect me.

When he came back, he had forgotten me. It made me feel obsolete.

But all the things the people left me with . . . they're not gone. Because I'm still here. It's hard not to want more, but sometimes. This is what you have.

Take it from someone who had nothing. What you have now matters.
