[ his fingers caress the curse of livio's face, as if committing it to memory. a new shape to learn and adore. he missed this. he missed this as much as he missed his limb. ]
[ his breath hitches at the compliment. livio had said that before, but here, in his arms, dolph lets the tentative tendril of hope and desire curl around his heart. warm, like it used to be. dolph leans in to kiss him softly, cupping the back of livio's neck and lightly nipping at his bottom lip. ]
[Again, Dolph doesn't shy away from praise, and Livio's chest swells with pride, as silly as that may be. He hums pleasantly into the kiss, one short, sharp note at the nip. His fingers drag slowly down through Dolph's hair.]
[ dolph hums, a soft keen sound at the back of his throat to signal his pleasure at the touch as he deepens the kiss, licking into the warm heat of livio's mouth, wanting to make this as pleasurable for him as he can. ]
[Though he's too nervous yet to pull Dolph by the hair, Livio slips that hand to the back of his head to hold him closer, press their lips closer. He finds himself craving the earthy -- and bitter, if it isn't his imagination -- taste of the tea lingering on Dolph's tongue, so much so that a muffled sound like a groan rumbles from his mouth to Dolph's.]
[ dolph feels the reverberation through him and he finds that they're not close enough. he wants to be closer. he wants and the feeling tangles itself around his heart and head like a heady fog. he climbs onto livio's lap, pressing against him with his fingers cradling his jaw like he's holding the most precious thing in the world.
the chair creaks but dolph pays no attention to it. ]
[Maybe if things weren't exactly as they are, Livio would notice the sound and have a war flashback to his own kitchen. But as it stands... he has never been touched like this before in his life. His head is swimming, his chest tightening, his belly swiftly warming, and he can't focus on anything but Dolph.
He shifts his weight back to make more room for Dolph, just to pull him closer, and... any further cracking of wood comes too late to correct. Oops!]
[ the chair collapses and they tumble onto the floor, with dolph falling on top of livio with a light oof. he tries to prop himself up so that livio isn't squashed, hair falling over his face as he quickly asks. ]
... After he blinks a few times and looks Dolph over to make sure he's in better shape than the splintered wood, he thunks his head back onto the ground and laughs. Progressively louder.
[Formulating a plan to make it up to him, somehow, anyway. Because he physically can't not.
For now, though, as he shifts around just to double check that nothing is broken except the chair and his nonexistent pride...]
... You got a bed? [And he immediately realizes how that sounds. Isn't exactly sure that's a bad thing, but it'd be good to specify.] I, uh... Just 'cuz they're generally... sturdier.
[Wow... Someone offering him, a brick shithouse of a man, a hand. He's as flushed as ever as he accepts it.]
Well... Maybe we could just -- see where it takes us? [He was having less than pure thoughts only a couple minutes ago, but every opportunity for his nerves to get the better of him throws a wrench in it.]
[ as far as dolph is concerned, the chair has served its purpose. besides, he doesn't get hung up on things in general. dolph helps livio to his feet, unbothered by his weight. after all, dolph could lift a car without much issue. his fingers caress his knuckles. ]
[It's obvious how much it means to Livio by the tears stinging at the corners of his eyes. Which is also embarrassing, in a way. How has he managed to not cry in front of Dolph yet?
Before they get moving, he lifts their joined hands to kiss Dolph's knuckle just as tenderly as he's being treated. A silent promise to pay him back with the same.]
[ that is sweet and his cheeks warm at the gesture. he's not embarrassed by the tears and for a moment he wonders if it's worth reaching out to brush them aside or if livio would prefer he doesn't call attention to them. his fingers twitch and he lets it go for now. they've had enough raw feeling shared between them lately. it can wait.
he leads livio into the bedroom which is . . . also pretty sparse. he clears his throat, a little sheepish. ]
