[ it's strange to mull over that word. dolph wasn't sure he liked vash because he was nice. in fact, back then, dolph didn't care for vash's niceness. it meant little to him at the time.

it was vash's determination in the face of sorrow and pushback that stuck with him. the way livio talked about him. went back for him. the way he saw vash falter in the face of his loss. the way dolph finally understood. ]

I'm not sure what you mean, exactly. It makes me happy. That's enough for me.

It doesn't have to be enough for you. It's not only about what we want.

It can be a place you're welcomed at, if you don't want to think of home. Or - you can have more than one place you call home.

For me, it's not a place, it's the people. You're my home as much as Eren is. I'll go wherever you are.
