He was never rough. He just . . . felt strongly. About a lot of things. About me.

And I didn't know what to do with that.

He was passionate about the things he cared about. Always up for defending them, too.

We were just lucky that we became two of those people.

[Tim falls into silence again, sipping at the soda he got out for himself but not knowing how to continue the conversation]

We cooked in this kitchen, well, Kazu cooked. I did my best to distract him.

He was going to teach me.

He would have been a good teacher. I should have utilised the time in the kitchen better, but I liked just getting him messy instead.

Perhaps we should learn together. I think we threw that idea about when we met, but never did anything about it.

[Tim has bought it up with a few people and just never followed through although he has gotten better at cooking just from being in the city and preparing things for his partners.]

Okay, then we'll do that. Maybe come around next week? Same time, and we'll figure it out. I'll either find a teacher by then, or we'll just get a recipe book and just wing it.

We can tell Kazu all about the messes we make. [He sounds so hopeful that they'll get to do that one day]

Perhaps we can make a list now of the foods we already know how to cook and the foods we would like to learn?

[Even if Laserhawk didn't want to do this now, Tim slides from his stool at the kitchen island and gets them pens and paper]

I can mostly do some breakfast items, scrambled eggs and pancakes, although they're not the most aesthetically pleasing things, they're edible.

I do stir fry, pancakes and a few others. Not much, really.

I've seen Kazu make pizza before but I don't think I could actually do the base. I feel like from there it's not really hard enough to be worth cooking unless we want a cheat day.
