[ She really isn't sure where to start. It isn't that much, but it seems like it when she thinks about everything that's happened between Kazuya, Will, Strohl, and herself. ]
"Yes" or "no". It is acceptable to break your friends' legs to keep them from going to fight an unwinnable fight against a third party.
It wouldn't stop 'em, anyway. Strohl'd drag himself to a healer using his arms to be able to fight the guy, so you can imagine how well trying to talk him out of it's gone. Said he wants to understand Kazuya, so he's going to duel him. Will's been at odds with Kazuya because he wants to change his mind about how he views and treats demons, what with Kazuya being a demon king who subjugates and murders demons. They both want to.
[ Change Kazuya's mind, that is. ]
That's how it before Strohl stepped in and saved Will's life last month when Kazuya attacked him. Now?
I prooobably should've clarified when I said there were two situations! The first you know. The second involves different people, no crushes on my part, poor judgment, and violence.
The thought was if they can't walk, they can't run off and fight a demon king against whom they can't win in the short-or-long-term ultimately. Like I said, though, even breaking their legs wouldn't keep them from fighting the guy and I'm not sure what to do.
I don't think there's anybody they'll listen to here. Stopping them in the short-term is great, but I worry about the long-term. I don't think Stroh'll give it up.
Before it was because Kazuya killed a native fairy to protect Will and Will took offense because one of his friends back home is a fairy. It spiraled into disagreeing with how Kazuya regards and treats demons from his world. He's very open about subjugating and murdering them and doesn't view non-humans as people.
[ She sighs. ]
It was projection on both Will and Strohl's parts. They thought Kazuya's mind could be changed, wanted to "understand" and save him before he was too far gone like someone from they know from their world. Strohl even challenged him to a duel and offered his soul as a prize, just -- [ Idiot. Idiotidiotidiotidiot!! ]
Now it's because Kazuya attacked without provocation and would've killed Will if Strohl hadn't showed up. Strohl's leg was in a real bad way and the duel's still on once he gets his abilities back.
Will asked Fidelio, Basilio, Eupha, Junah, Rella, and myself not to do anything stupid like try to fight Kazuya alone. Said it was a team issue.
[ Some advice, that, considering Strohl's plan. Does Will even know? It's Will. Strohl wouldn't keep something like that from him, would he?
... idiot. ]
I'm not sure how much the others know about their relationship with Kazuya leading up to this. [ ... ] I've bumped heads with him, too, and settled on not engaging with him unless it's absolutely necessary. That was before the attack.
should he do something? he barely knows these people, save for basilio and even then, just barely. he has no experience with this sort of thing. what is the right thing to do here? ]
Dying, thankfully, isn't much of an issue here. This soul stuff though . . . we should cut that off. We don't know the implications of that.
[ hnngh. ]
Keep me posted, I guess. There isn't much anyone can do if hotheads have their minds made up. However, I don't want this kind of shit escalating here.
I'm not sure if the soul stuff can be negated without them being willing. Contract magic is serious business. Got any good ideas or news before we get off the phone?
Thanks, Laserhawk. If I find out, I'll let you know.
[ She isn't exactly sure what they can do about it. She'll have to give that some more thought, but it won't help if she doesn't have the details and she doubts Strohl or Kazuya will give them to her.
Heh. There's something. Doesn't seem to matter the species. Why are boys so stupid? ]

The crush thing is just part of your feelings. It's not some magical new thing you have, but something you were always capable of.

[ She rubs her face quietly, thinking. ]
Wanna call it a night? I'm sure this has already been a lot.
[ Definitely for her, very probably for him, and Strohl, Will, and Kazuya -- that situation is its own kind of difficult. She's tired. ]

If you want. It's your call.

I'm not even sure where to start.

Stick with that.

[ wasn't this some kind of crush thing? why are they talking about breaking legs and murder?? ]

I'm not sure how to... handle it, I guess.

So why do you want to break someone's legs?

[ An important clarification, that. ]

Well, it wouldn't do much. With magical powers and healing stuff all around.
Just out them. Either to someone who can stop them or to someone they'll listen to.
