[ Out of seemingly nowhere and for seemingly no reason, a plain cardboard box with DOLPH written on the top in block letters is left on the workbench at the clock shop one morning. It isn't even taped closed just to belay fears of something untoward inside, the flaps folded to remain in place.
Inside is: - an obviously freshly prepared meal for his lunch at work (upon investigation he'll find it's chicken and vegetable curry over rice, still slightly warm) - home baked chocolate chip cookies - two black sink hair scrunchies - a bottle of after-shave moisturizer with a light, clean scent
There is no note. There is no explanation. There is no silverware. But it'd be a shame for free food to go to waste, right? ]
what is this? a bomb? a weapon? but his scan picks up nothing dangerous. and when dolph finally opens it, he's still at a loss. he's never received a gift before.
who is it even from? dolph just sits with it, idly turning over the gifts in his hand with a reverence he can't shake off. ]

[ Just as mysteriously as the box first appeared in the shop, Dolph will find that it is being refilled. Not every day -- Kazu has learned from going overboard in the past that there is such a thing as too much, for most people -- but once or twice a week Dolph will come in and find that the DOLPH box has been repositioned to the center of his work bench. On those days, there are new items inside.
They mostly follow the same formula: - a meal, always in the same style container despite there being no pattern to the cuisine - a less healthy treat, usually sweet snacks - a physical item for personal use, at first practical but then becoming more aesthetic... hair ties and fuzzy socks are interspersed with simple jewelry, chains and charms and clip-ons, scented candles, cute sticky notes - a small consumable care item, also starting out universally practical and branching out... from moisturizer, chapsticks, and hair treatments to nail polish, the occasional eyeliner and shadow pot, bath bombs
It's absolutely not Tim, it can't be -- even if he was involved somehow he's been in a coma for ages and the meals are fresh. In box refill #8 there's a pack of origami paper and a little instruction book. In #9 is a flash drive that when investigated contains a wide array of music, though most of it is without vocals. And in the tenth box there's a 12" plush teddy bear, its synthetic fur and give upon squeezing both incredibly soft. It's wearing a little t-shirt that proclaims ❤️ HUG ME ❤️ and if Dolph does raise it towards his face, he'll notice it smells like lavender and vanilla.
There still seem to be no strings attached to the gifts. They're simply that. And apparently they're going to keep coming. ]
