[Zack's excited to see his boyfriend in the sweater he made him, it's a little big even on him but it still looks awesome in his opinion and he thinks Dolph looks perfect in pink. He was right in thinking it's his color.]

Ooo you're going to cook? Can I watch? Also hey Dolph, can I get a kiss?

[ dolph pauses as he processes all those questions. ]

You can watch. And yeah, you can have a kiss.

[20 questions all at once are bound to happen when you are dating someone as energetic as Zack. He grins at the okay and leans in to kiss Dolph sweetly on the lips then lets him in. He's in an equally silly sweater that's also too big on him.]

You look so cute in pink, Dolph. So what are you making?

[laserhawk]

Pasta. And dessert. Someone taught me recently.

[ he does lean into the kiss with a brief sigh. ]

Oh yummy! I'm excited!

[He heads to the kitchen and turns on some of the lights and stands there unsure of what to do to help.]

Is this a christmas dinner date?

[ dolph sets the bags down, slowly unpacking and preparing the meal like vash taught him. at zack's question, he pauses once more, as if uncertain of himself. ]

It's a . . . thank you. I thought you might like a cooked meal. Something real.

Well I'll take a thank you then. It's been so long since someone cooked for me. I'm excited.

[Zack hovers a little, watching Dolph work so he can maybe learn how to cook himself. He's always been bad at it no matter what he does. He eventually ends up with his arms around Dolph's waist as he hugs him from behind while the pasta cooks.]

This is nice, really nice.

[laserhawk]

[ there's a brief pause. it's not like dolph has never gotten hugs. he has. alex had given plenty. and yet. ]

Good.

So, who taught you to cook?

[He stays behind his boyfriend, just continuing to hug him and resting his chin on his shoulder.]

Vash taught me. He offered and I took the opportunity.

Ooo I haven't met him yet. Is he nice to you? He doesn't treat you bad at all right? [The hold on Dolph tightens a little, he doesn't want anyone being mean to his boyfriend.]

He was fine. A little too cheery, that's all.

Cheery like me or different?

[He pouts a little at that, kissing at Dolph's neck]

I'm not too cheery for you am I?

[laserhawk]

[ dolph flicks his cheek lightly with his real hand. ]

You're a different kind of cheery.

The best kind right?

[He laughs a little and continues to keep peppering kisses at Dolph's neck. It feels nice to do this with him.]

I think my real present is having you here and in my arms.

[laserhawk]

[ that is . . . very saccharine and dolph ducks his head a little. ]

I wasn't going anywhere else.

But you have friends so I still think it's special you came to hang out with me.

[He does stop with the kissing when he sees Dolph get shy. Instead he just rests against him and smiles.]

Hey Dolph, can I ask you something?

[laserhawk]

[ friends huh. he supposes he does have some now. ]

Sure. Ask away.

[Dolph can probably feel how antsy Zack get's with his he sort of shifts a bit and can't seem to get comfortable.]

Are you okay with um...with just things like this for now? I mean are you bored that we haven't had sex yet?

[laserhawk]

No.

[ he starts frying up the vegetables and preparing the sauce. dolph tries to do this tactfully, though he's probably still a bit blunt, like he always is. ]

I know sex is a big deal to you, but it isn't for me. I've had plenty, here and elsewhere. If you want to have sex, you can ask. But if you're fine with things, that's all right too. It doesn't bother me if we do or don't have it.

[That actually makes Zack feel really good and he hides his face against Dolph's back, no longer watching the pasta being made.]

Thank you, that means a lot to me Dolph. I want to eventually I mean, I really do. I just...I want to enjoy this without that pressure. I like you for you, not cause of sex or anything.

[laserhawk]

[ he nods. ]

You're not boring because you want to wait. And I don't mind waiting. Take your time.

You say such nice things to me and you're just going to make me fall for you even more!

[He smiles against his back, finally letting go so he can instead stand next to him instead of behind him.]

If you ever need to wait for something too, let me know okay?

I'd hardly keep quiet.

[ he's not known for that. ]

I know, it's one of the things I like so much about you. You just say how you feel. It's awesome.

[He lets his hip bump against Dolph's and just smiles.]
