Ooo I haven't met him yet. Is he nice to you? He doesn't treat you bad at all right? [The hold on Dolph tightens a little, he doesn't want anyone being mean to his boyfriend.]

He was fine. A little too cheery, that's all.

[He pouts a little at that, kissing at Dolph's neck]

I'm not too cheery for you am I?

[ dolph flicks his cheek lightly with his real hand. ]

You're a different kind of cheery.

The best kind right?

[He laughs a little and continues to keep peppering kisses at Dolph's neck. It feels nice to do this with him.]

I think my real present is having you here and in my arms.

[laserhawk]

[ that is . . . very saccharine and dolph ducks his head a little. ]

I wasn't going anywhere else.

But you have friends so I still think it's special you came to hang out with me.

[He does stop with the kissing when he sees Dolph get shy. Instead he just rests against him and smiles.]

Hey Dolph, can I ask you something?

[ friends huh. he supposes he does have some now. ]

Sure. Ask away.

[Dolph can probably feel how antsy Zack get's with his he sort of shifts a bit and can't seem to get comfortable.]

Are you okay with um...with just things like this for now? I mean are you bored that we haven't had sex yet?

[laserhawk]

No.

[ he starts frying up the vegetables and preparing the sauce. dolph tries to do this tactfully, though he's probably still a bit blunt, like he always is. ]

I know sex is a big deal to you, but it isn't for me. I've had plenty, here and elsewhere. If you want to have sex, you can ask. But if you're fine with things, that's all right too. It doesn't bother me if we do or don't have it.

[That actually makes Zack feel really good and he hides his face against Dolph's back, no longer watching the pasta being made.]

Thank you, that means a lot to me Dolph. I want to eventually I mean, I really do. I just...I want to enjoy this without that pressure. I like you for you, not cause of sex or anything.

[ he nods. ]

You're not boring because you want to wait. And I don't mind waiting. Take your time.

You say such nice things to me and you're just going to make me fall for you even more!

[He smiles against his back, finally letting go so he can instead stand next to him instead of behind him.]

If you ever need to wait for something too, let me know okay?

I'd hardly keep quiet.

[ he's not known for that. ]

I know, it's one of the things I like so much about you. You just say how you feel. It's awesome.

[He lets his hip bump against Dolph's and just smiles.]

Should I get the plates?

[laserhawk]

[ there's a flicker of a smile. ]

Yeah. I'm nearly done here.

[Zack gives Dolph's butt a light slap before he's heading to the cabinets to get the good plates, notht he paper ones he usually used cause he was too lazy to do dishes. These were the mismatched ones he got for a bargain at the store and MOST of them didn't
have cracks either. He picked his nicest two plates and set them up on the table along with some utensils and glasses for whatever they might drink.]

[ dolph brings out the pasta and sets it down. for a moment, he's a bit nervous. he's never cooked for anyone before. ]

It should be good.

I bet it's awesome!

[Zack takes a seat and grabs some of the pasta for his plate. He quickly places his hands together and closes his eyes for a moment.] Thanks for the meal!

[It's then he's digging in and it's good! It's much better then what he could make and he happily keeps eating more and more. Not wanting to pause he gives Dolph a thumbs up to signal it's tasty.]

[ his expression softens at that. ]

I don't know much about gifts and presents. I thought this would be nice. For you.

[Zack makes sure to wipe his face before reaching over the table to hold Dolph's hand. ]

I love it. Food is one of my favorite things and my favorite person made some for me. It's like the best gift ever. You know my mentor used to cook for me and it was the best feeling to feel loved enough that someone would do that for me. I haven't had it in years...so thank you Dolph. Thank you a lot.

[ he tentatively threads his fingers with zack. ]

As long as you like it.

I love it.

[He does the same in return, just holding Dolph's hand as he eats more of the pasta.]

Thank you, it's my favorite present.

[ his shoulders fall, a little relieved. ]

That's . . . good.

Though I'm sure you got better, actual presents.
